Ernie Ball pioneered the custom-gauge single string concept, giving guitarists the freedom to build sets tailored to their exact playing needs. Made from specially tempered tin-plated high carbon steel, these plain steel singles deliver consistent tone and feel across electric and acoustic instruments.

At 39.5" in length, they're compatible with standard electric and acoustic guitar setups. Whether you're replacing a broken string, experimenting with hybrid tunings, or dialling in a bespoke gauge combination, these are the strings that make it possible.

Available in gauges 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 22 and 24 — select your gauge from the options above.
