Description

A Versatile 5-String Banjo Built for Folk & Bluegrass

The Chord BJ-5G is a resonator-style 5-string banjo crafted for players who take their folk, bluegrass, and country music seriously. With a mahogany laminate body, resonator, and neck paired with a kabukalli fingerboard, it delivers the warm, punchy tone that defines the genre — at a price that makes it accessible to developing and gigging players alike.

Fitted with a coated Remo™ drum head and a floating kabukalli bridge, the BJ-5G produces a bright, articulate sound that responds well to both fingerpicking and strumming. Open geared tuners keep intonation stable, while the tension-adjustable tailpiece accepts both loop and ball-end strings for added flexibility. All tonewoods are sourced from sustainable forests.

Available in G, tenor, and guitar tunings, the BJ-5G suits a range of playing styles and musical contexts. Sold individually.
