The Aulos 303A Elite is a descant (soprano) recorder from the Aulos Elite Series, crafted from highly resilient ABS resin. Descant recorders are the most well-known models in the recorder family and are widely used as first instruments in schools, thanks to their relatively small finger spacing and ease of playing. They also make excellent ensemble instruments, occupying the c’’–d’’’’ register as the highest voice in four-part ensembles.

The 303A features a three-piece design with a straight windway and concave bell at the foot joint, using Aulos’ patented cavity wall construction for excellent response and a bright, pure tone throughout the register. Designed to be easy to play for beginners. Uses Baroque (English) fingering. Supplied in dark brown with a blue corduroy bag, fingering chart, thumb rest and cleaning rod.
