The Aulos 209B Robin is a treble (alto) recorder from the Aulos Robin Series, crafted from highly resilient ABS resin. Sitting between the smaller descant (soprano) and larger tenor recorder in size, the treble recorder is around 50% larger than a descant and is among the easiest instruments to play, thanks to its large size and fingering setup suited to adults.

Occupying the f’–g’’’ register, it is suitable for a vast repertoire — from classroom and ensemble playing to serious students and professionals. The 209B features a three-piece design with a curved windway and concave bell at the foot joint, using Aulos’ patented cavity wall construction for a soft, clear and sonorous tone. Uses Baroque (English) fingering — the most common system taught in schools and played by professional musicians. Supplied in dark brown and ivory with a leatherette bag, fingering chart, cleaning rod, thumb rest and joint grease.
